Originally from Colchester, Brett began his show business career at the age of 19, performing comedy routines at open spots around comedy clubs on the south-east coast & London as a past time.
After being spotted one night, & asked to enter the search for fresh young talent with the “So you think you're funny” competition for Channel 4, Brett made it through a battle of over 300 comedy acts to be positioned in the top 7.
With only six acts that could go through to perform for the one winning title at the Edinburgh Festival, Brett became the reserve replacement Act (should a contestant fall ill or drop out.) Sadly everyone was well that day & the phone never rang!.... However,
It wasn’t long after that, before a hobby became a very unexpected full-time career.
With the ambition of wanting to be completely unique in his performance, Brett made the decision to include all his passions of comedy, magic & singing, creating an unseen style of act blending all three skills into one. This developed into a high class, one man comedy variety show that would appeal to audiences whatever their age or preferred genre of act.
The decision paid off, & with an offer of a regular circuit around Clubs, Theatres & Holiday venues & a spot on Channel 5's “The Big Stage” with Bradley Walsh, Brett decided to follow his passion, quit the day job & so became the unique Comedy Vocal Magic & Variety Act that he is today.
After 2 years of solid travelling around the country performing his truly unique show, 3 cars later & a letter from the RAC asking kindly asking him to leave! Brett was offered the opportunity of taking & developing his act at sea, performing all over the world with numerous Cruise lines including, Princess Cruises, Holland America, Fred Olsen, Renaissance Cruises & saga to name a few.
His career has since then embraced most aspects of the entertainment world on Cruise Ships, TV, Theatres & Hotels both at home & abroad.
Emerging as one of the UK’s leading speciality Acts Brett is enjoying a career in show business faceted with success all the way.
Brett currently resides in Derby, married to artist wife Lucy, along with dog ‘Watson’ (their labradoodle), living afloat after fulfilling their dream of moving on to a canal boat in a country side marina.
Today, Brett still enjoys working cabaret, and is always a sought after choice on the entertainment circuit. His clean, polished & unusual Act has endeared him to audiences worldwide & made him one of the most unique versatile entertainers today.
